I noticed the changed format of email notifications, and not sure if it is deliberately intended, but that massive bell at the start drives the actual message so far down the page it is impossible to read in the preview pane.
Opening every one of them and scrolling down to read what it says becomes quite annoying....

@zboblamont the change was probably intended when the nodebb team did it. Not sure if we can affect the design.

I'm unable to find any related settings in the admin interface.

@mfalkvidd Fair enough, will minimise notifications in that case.
I had already read all the posts except for one on the site already, checked email and 21 notifications to plough through....

        Is it related to this?

        https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues/6138
(we haven't got this latest patch in yet)

Otherwise open an issue on NodeBB, they're usually very responsive to feedback.

@hek no, it's about the top image. The nodebb team calls it an hero image. Wikipedia says

a hero image is a large web banner image, prominently placed

which it certainly is. The image is very good att getting in the way of the actual content of the notification email. I find it useless at best, but quite annoying.

In case someone wants to know what we're talking about, this is what notifications emails look after the upgrade:

@mfalkvidd, found the templates used in the admin interface. we can re-design them a bit perhaps.

Ok, the header has been reduced to a minimum now. Thanks for reporting.

@mfalkvidd If what I saw as email notification this morning is the result, call me totally impressed by the speed this was dealt with.
7 hours or less and fixed...
                          Bravo...
