Support for alarm times

I have some use cases in which I want to sent an alarm time to a sensor, so that it can handle an event at a certain time.
I know that it would be much better to let the Controller handle such logic, but I have some use cases in which I want to be sure that the alarm is going on even it the controller is down.
It would be a Nice To Have, because I should be able to accomplish this with the TEXT type, but when using Domoticz the sensor has to poll the gateway for new text values (at least if I understood it correctly), I don't think I want that much of traffic.
