Battery alternative for DS3231 ?
-
According to the specs, the DS3231 rtc module wants a LIR2032, which is a rechargeable 3.6V lithium coin cell battery.
Can I use a regular CR2032 instead? My guess is that I can't, at least not without disabling the battery charging circuit on the DS3231. CR2032 are readily available where I live, but the LIR seems hard to find.
Alternatively, does anyone know where to get the LIR2032 shipped to Sweden?

Hello, it seems you have to cut a trace to disable charging.

@bjacobse have you had any luck getting ebay sellers to ship lion batteries? I've had the order cancelled multiple times.
@mfalkvidd
The first link was to a Danish site, they seems to sell :-)
I have removed the chinese ebay links, since they wont sell overseas/airfreight -
