Transmitting only battery status

  • I am using the Serial Gateway example and the example door sensor from the sensor_api page. It looks like I have a good connection but the only thing that gets sent to the gateway is the battery level.

    Output from serial monitor

    Gateway

    Any ideas on why it is not sending the door open message?

    Looking at your log it looks like the node is requesting a Node ID from the gateway but the gateway is not providing it meaning the sensor will execute the normal code.

    255;255;3;0;3;

    See http://www.mysensors.org/build/serial_api, this is an internal message of the type I_ID_REQUEST.

    The Node ID is normally provided by a controller.

  • Thanks for the reply. Not sure how I translated that to the battery level. That is what I get for trying to figure it out late at night.
