Using 32.768khz crystal

What do I need to be able to use the crystal with Mysensors apart from soldering it?
I've seen many pcbs featured at openhardware.io have this option, But haven't found examples how to implement it in the code.
I assume I'll also need to set the fuses to use "low freq ext oscillator", correct?

I would really like to get OTA working here as it's freezing outside and I have to go there to update the software in the greenhouse control system. So please, can we have a 'how to' step-by-step guide to OTA? Please? S.

I'd suggest you plan a 0 Ohm, (2512/THT) resistor as R2 and then replace it with a 100Ohm/1Watt if the protection triggers.

@Tmaster Never assume the original PCB was just a circuit of components, the PCB can incorporate RF shields and antenna radio ground planes...
