i want information about repeater feature

hi
i want learn how is repeater feature in mysensors ? i mean detail of repeater feature.

for example , when the end node is connect to controller but a weak connection ( some message send and receive ack and some message dont send...) also there is a repeater in near end node, so end node try to connect directly to controller and connect / disconnect repeatedly or choose that repeater for connect to controller for always?

and more example , when move controller and some node lost same first way , so how found a new way ? what basis of choose a way and repeater for end node ( nearest to end node , nearest to controller or ... )

also have repeater feature a protocol ? what and where i can learn about this?
