Didn’t know about this, but it took me about 5 seconds to open the forum settings and turn it off. Probably faster than for the OP to start the thread.

But then the digest emails happened to you as well? Strange that I haven't gotten any. Would you mind posting the email you got?

@raptorjr thanks. There was no unsubscribe link at the bottom? The nodebb code seems to have some sort of IF clause:

@raptorjr ok. Thanks for confirming. I have removed nodebb's IF clause and the test emails (for digest emails) now show the unsubscribe link. Next step is to figure out how to configure the setting instead of modifying the code.

I have created a feature request to the nodebb team to show the unsubscribe link by default for all emails that can be turned off. https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues/6160
The nodebb team would probably be very happy if someone has input, or can create a pull request. My JavaScript skills are too poor unfortunately.

Something is definitely wrong regarding digest emails. Added comment on #6126

EDIT:

Ok, got reply from the NodeBB team. Due to some earlier bug digests weren't sent out correctly for users according to the forum default setting.. This has been fixed, thus more people is getting the digest.

If you don't want the digest email, go to user settings and disable in "Email" section.

I got digest email too without the unsubscribe link

Today I got email, but with some kind of change my subscription instead of unsubscribe. Enough for me.
