@BearWithBeard Wow, thanks for this detailed answer! Today, I received an answer from Ebyte: Yes, because of the shortage of chips, E01-ML01D is temporarily out of stock. It will be available in next mouth, if you have a purchase plan, please book as soon as possible. @skywatch So, there is hope

Would it be possible to run the MAX4466 with battery?

@benhub if you look at the datasheet of the MX4466 you can see that it's input current is a bit above 24µA which is ok for battery usage. But you have to include the current consumption of the microphone also, the one used only has a max value of 0.5mA @3V in the datasheet, so you can't make it a battery powered sensor with a very long battery life.

Why are the measured values so different? Are my humidity sensors faulty?

@benhub do you have the code the links seem dead? Ive been trying to get 2 temp/hum sensors (DHT22) working in domoticz for quite a while now with no luck. The temp/hum data in domotcz keeps swapping around from one sensor to the other and i cant work out why.

Sorry. Forget it. It was just some misunderstanding in the mycontroller UI. I just saw that my sensors were in state "NEW" in mycontroller. I had to put it into state "REGISTERED". Don't ask me, why I thought that it worked via USB — I now think, that it never really worked, maybe i read the wrong line and saw another sensor in the list.

Is it really required to remove the voltage regulator to save power?

@benhub Short answers, No, Yes, Yes The regulator will use power if connected. If your circuit is power hungry then removing the regulator will have limited effect. The sparkfun schematic on the article that you listed notes to disconnect the regulator for low power, so the advice is consistent. Unless you are using the genuine sparkfun versions of the pro-mini where the jumper can be cut then physically removing the regulator is recommended.
