    I restarted the gateway ad let it boot before I turned on the node. It looks like the node had some trouble trying to commmunicate with the gateway to start. Then you can see towards the end, the attempted sends where from me pushing 1 of the 2 buttons. My node code is

    #define SKETCH_NAME "WallSwitch"
    #define SKETCH_MAJOR_VER "1"
    #define SKETCH_MINOR_VER "1"
    // Enable debug prints to serial monitor
    #define MY_DEBUG
    #define MY_NODE_ID 1
    // Enable and select radio type attached
    #define MY_RADIO_NRF24
    //#define MY_RADIO_RFM69

    #include <SPI.h>

    #include <Bounce2.h>

    #define CHILD_LIGHT_ID 1

    #define ON_PIN 3
    #define OFF_PIN 2
    int OFF_VAL = 0;
    int ON_VAL = 0;

    // Change to V_LIGHT if you use S_LIGHT in presentation below
    MyMessage msg_light(CHILD_LIGHT_ID,V_LIGHT);

    {

       analogReference(INTERNAL1V1);
    #else
       analogReference(INTERNAL);
    #endif

    }

    void presentation() {
      present(CHILD_LIGHT_ID, S_LIGHT);
      wait(300);
      sendSketchInfo(SKETCH_NAME, SKETCH_MAJOR_VER "." SKETCH_MINOR_VER,true);
      wait(300);
    }

    // Check if digital input has changed and send in new value
    void loop()
    {

    int whichbutton;
    whichbutton = sleep(digitalPinToInterrupt(2),LOW,digitalPinToInterrupt(3),LOW,3600000);//86400000);

    switch (whichbutton) {
      case digitalPinToInterrupt(2):
          {//off
          send(msg_light.set(0),true);
          wait(300);
          break;
          }
      case digitalPinToInterrupt(3):
          {//on
          send(msg_light.set(1),true);
          wait(300);
          break;
          }

      }

    }

    The node is also not sending the sketchname but the version it sends.

    Thanks

      i didn't think so at first. but it could be. Is there a way for me to merge? or should I delete the post with less info?

          @Jason-Brunk Did you try to replace the radio's? One of them might be broken.

            Yes. I have an extra and have tried swapping out in various combinations. I have tried with and without capacitors.

              @Jason-Brunk I'm having a hard time trying to understand your test sketch.

              Especially this piece. If I'm not mistaken you go to sleep for an hour or until one of the interrupt pins goes low.

              I'm however not sure what the sleep method returns.

              int whichbutton;
              whichbutton = sleep(digitalPinToInterrupt(2),LOW,digitalPinToInterrupt(3),LOW,3600000);//86400000);

              Could you try a basic sketch and see if that runs? That'll eliminate hardware problems.

                From what I read it's supposed to return which pin goes low. but yes, I can try a basic sketch. Let me find one.

                      Just so I can try to understand. The st=fail on the sensor node indicates that it wasn't able to send via the radio right? Not that the other end couldn't receive it? Just wondering which end point I should be focusing on :)

                        @Jason-Brunk st=fail indicates, that the RF module did not receive an ACK from the destination node, i.e. the message was sent but not received.

                          I saw in this post https://forum.mysensors.org/topic/4430/solved-does-not-work-after-latest-update/5 you mentioned that 2.0 may have some slightly higher power requirements. What size cap is recommended now?

                            @Jason-Brunk I'm using 100uF caps, but 22uF seemed ok in this case.
