@scalz We develop with GNU tools and that is what we provide. Lots of IoT operating systems can run on our board, to name a few Zephyr, RIOTOS, ARM mbed, etc. The programming depends on which of these OS you use i.e. ARM mbed can be programmed using their online IDE and as well as GCC toolchain.

Cost per unit of EP Board isn't cheap as the board is meant for production use and it has features many COTS boards do not have - refer to project site for details. Design can be modified to reduce the cost. We are not selling the board at this point as we are yet to arrange funding for the project, fabrication costs good amount of money, once we have that the next step is to stock a few and sell. Thanks.

@LinuxIoT why do you call your board 'LinuxIot' when you don't seem to target Linux as OS?
    Or am I missing something?

@Yveaux The name of Project comes from our product Roadmap which is not yet released for public - excerpt:

      • QEMU bsp for Linux including PHY/Network layer emulation and few Digital I/Os and Analog
      • SDK for Linux (based on GNU Tools and VIM plugins etc)
      • Deployment planner application
      • Gateway on Linux (board design provided is for CHIP at the moment but we will be working on a ARM Cortex board with RF MCU as PHY)
      • Tighter Integration with Linux for Dev, Ops, Deployments

IoT end-nodes can run a variety of embedded firmware/OS i.e. Zephyr, RIOTOS, ARM mbed, etc. Although, we are actively evaluating work-needed for using Linux on 32bit Cortex M MCUs.

@LinuxIoT does this relate to mysensors in any way?

Do you feel secure today? No? Start requiring some signatures and feel better tomorrow ;)

@LinuxIoT well, this is the forum for MySensors. You can read about MySensors on mysensors.org. Everything discussed here is relating to the MySensors infrastructure. And most if not all projects on openhardware.io is targeting the MySensors framework. But I fail to see these your board has anything to do with mysensors.

@Anticimex openhardware.io shares this forum for comments, you are correct in saying we do not use mysensors infrastructure. If there is a way to separate comments/forum from both sites let us know and we will make the change.

@LinuxIoT or you could add support to mysensors and everyone is happy 😁

@LinuxIoT not to my knowledge but perhaps you could emphasize that fact in your openhardware.io topic. Users might otherwise be confused in how to incorporate your device into their system.

This is a openhardware.io comment thread, so it does not necessarily have to be MySensors related.

Could be a bit confusing when the project also is IoT-related but not much we can do about it at the moment.

@hek thanks for the clarification, appreciate that.

                      @Anticimex hope this clarifies.
