Changing Radio

Can I simply change out the radio module on my Gateway? I want to improve it but I don't want to have to reconfigure all of the associations.

I'm assuming the radio ID is stored in the EEPROM of the Nano and you are not using any numbers off of the transceiver, but I really don't know.

correct.... replace radio modules as you want...even to the amplified version!
