Vera and Rain Gauge

I finally got time to assemble the rain gauge according to BulldogLowells instructions. I got the electronics working as expected but when I add it to my Vera (UI5) things start to go wrong.
I have uploaded the implementation files but I still lose the icons on all Mysensors sensors.
Is there anything else I need to do to get it working?

You cannot change the default Temp-device without affecting all of the same type (vera has no "override" functionality in their device definition files). So.. what you can do is to create a new device type used by the Arduino plugin. @TheoL there are two pull requests adding support for newer versions. One is guaranteed to break again. One should not break in the future, but will instead break all existing sketches. I’m sure a third option would be welcome if you write the code and submit.

I want to thank @FcNanoLed. I had long thought about a serial gateway. This would be a way to add I/O to a linux computer. In the process of trying to help, I built up a linux machine running virtual box. In the virtual machine I ran Home Assistant The not well documented part of that was to connect the USB port of the computer to the virtual machine (settings-->USB-->USB Device Filters) (note that one can buy a refurbished PC for about the same price as an equivalently configured RPi) So thanks for the inspiration!
