Sensors not found

  • Hi,

For some reason new sensors are not found in my network anymore, I have version 1.5.5 (I think) of the library in my Vera and used the latest MySensors 2.0 libraries within the Arduino software. After building a new Nano Pro with Temperature sensors, they don't seem to be found by the network?!? Is there a newer version of the Vera we should know about? I can't find the current version of the Vera Library on the site, that might be an idea to publish somewhere (if not already published, then again: where could it be?!)..

    Kind regards

    Richard

@riochicken I don't use Vera myself but there are links to the plugins at https://www.mysensors.org/controller/vera#installing-the-vera-plugin maybe that helps.

  • @mfalkvidd

    Thank you for your answer...

It did work! So I think I will try to use the old library files for the Arduino software, hopefully the Temperature software still works for the old library...

You need to update your Gateway to 2.0 to be able to include sensor nodes based on 2.0 library version. The serial api has not changed so you should not need to change anything in the Vera.

  • @korttoma

Sound logical, thanks... I just upgraded my gateway but now it is not responding to the Vera for some other reason, I can ping and open port 5003 on telnet but when I click start inclusion it doesnt do anything... weird... maybe recreate the mysensors device?!

@riochicken Usually I just restart luup on Vera to get Vera to reconnect if it is having trouble.

  • @korttoma: Normally it would say: device found 0 and if nodes are found it counts as much as it can find, but it doesn't do anything... I checked the serial monitor and that part says that it detects sensors etc so I am not really sure what is going wrong...

It only seems to be communication not adding a sensor... when I do not click the start inclusion button and just repower the sensor I get the same messages...

I'm not sure what is going wrong either.
What firmware is used in your Vera?
It sounds like you are unable to put Vera in inclusion mode from the MySensors Plugin device.

But there is also some communication issue since there are 2 messages failing to be sent:

    0;255;3;0;9;!TSP:MSG:SEND 0-0-4-4 s=255,c=3,t=25,pt=1,l=1,sg=0,ft=0,st=fail:1
I_PONG 25 In return to ping, sent back to sender, payload incremental hop counter

    0;255;3;0;9;!TSP:MSG:SEND 0-0-4-4 s=255,c=3,t=27,pt=1,l=1,sg=0,ft=0,st=fail:1
I_REGISTRATION_RESPONSE 27 Register response from GW
