We need to create a sticker like "WAF Compliant" or similar to put on projects :D

I put a WAF tag on openhardware.io, try it :D

I quickly soldered one and it's running perfectly on a chinese CR2032.
220ยตF reserve capacitor fits perfectly behind the battery so no need for using 2x100uF, and the radio capacitor has more space so no need to put it over the radio.
It might benefit from a few adjustments in the PCB shape but it fits easily like that and the double sided tape that kept in place the original circuit is perfect for this PCB also.
No more "work in progress" :D

@gohan LOVE THIS IDEA!!! We should have a line of them.

              WAF Rating: 1-5

1 = super fun for us
              5 = wife doesn't kick us out

Come on guys, we need someone that can build a WAF-o-meter to put on openhardware :D

@Nca78 Do you have aby figures in how long the battery will last?

Hello, no unfortunately because I've not been doing sensors for long enough :D

But at least one year and probably more depending on the quality of the battery you use (chinese or brand name) and the quality of the radio communication.
First nodes with similar hardware have been running for a few months now, and are still at "100%" (= above 2.9V, still not eating in the bulk of the capacity) even those running on cheap chinese batteries.

                      Hi All,

Like the design thinking of this, although an older topic I did manage to get me one of these dishes. After taking it apart, I have one question that came to mind. Is the ventilation in the dish enough for the humity sensor? Is there any experience with that after running this sensor for a while?

                      Thx

                      Ralph

Domoticz, P1 meter interface, MySensors and more to come!

Hello, yes I think it's enough, in fact there's much more ventilation than in many commercial sensors which only have a small hole. But it's a good test to make, I'll try to compare to a sensor out of it's enclosure to see if there's significant difference or delay.
