Here's how to verify the clock frequency on your Pro Mini

I received some 8Mhz Pro Mini's, and I wanted to verify that they are indeed 8Mhz.

Here's a test procedure that worked for me using an oscilliscope:

    1. Connect ground of test Probe to ground of Pro Mini
    2. Power up the Pro Mini
    3. Touch test probe to PB6 or PB7 of the mcu:

and you will get this, which verifies the frequency:

For some reason I was expecting a square wave, so I compared it to a 16Mhz Pro Mini from a different vendor:
      16Mhz.jpg
and that one wasn't a square wave either, as you can see.

Regardless, I wanted to test frequency, and this worked for doing that.
