    Hi Folks,

I am new to this site and would like to try your approach (I already had built arduino sensors with the radio transmitters). I don't have a "controller" but rather would like to read the values of different sensors when the gateway is connected to a Linux box through the serial gateway. I browsed through your webpages but couldn't find how to do this. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. My immediate need is to read values from a temperature sensor.

    Thanks
    Z.

@zuru The gateway will dump info on the serial port, so you could write a script or application to parse that. The API info is here: http://www.mysensors.org/download/serial_api_15. Note that the controller also assigns node IDs so you would need to hard code them if the script or app you build does not respond to those requests.

      Cheers
      Al
