RE: Is this possible? MQTT & Node request...
@Mark-Swift check this for node-to-node communication http://forum.mysensors.org/topic/3467/basic-setup-network/2 as @hek said setup a database in nodered to save the values received from node-1 and you could request that from node-2
-
RE: Basic Setup Network
this is my node to node program:
// Enable debug prints #define MY_DEBUG #define SWITCH_PIN 2 // Enable and select radio type attached #define MY_RADIO_NRF24 //#define MY_RADIO_RFM69 boolean state=false; #include <SPI.h> #include <MySensor.h> #define MY_NODE_ID 10 #define CHILD_ID_SWITCH 1 MyMessage switchMsg(CHILD_ID_SWITCH, V_LIGHT); void setup() { pinMode(SWITCH_PIN,INPUT_PULLUP); } void loop() { if(digitalRead(SWITCH_PIN)==LOW) { delay(100); if(digitalRead(SWITCH_PIN)==HIGH); { state=!state; if(state) { send(switchMsg.setDestination(2).set(49)); } else { send(switchMsg.setDestination(2).set(0)); } } } }
- destination node id is 2
- destination of type light variable

RE: SSL support for MQTT on ESP8266
@hek Adafruit's MQTT libarary doesnt have wildcard subscriptions switching to https://github.com/256dpi/arduino-mqtt SSL seems to be working and library has callback support
-
RE: SSL support for MQTT on ESP8266
@hek i am trying to do that in void loop{} will update once it gets working properly and will do a pull request, the problem is that i can subscribe to a main topic but not its subfeeds
-
RE: SSL support for MQTT on ESP8266
@hek I somewhat succesfully integrated Adafruit MQTT library into MySensors, i am able to sent out data but not able to receive (subscribe). These are the changes i made:

RE: MQTTClientGateway broken after upgrade - signature failure
@tomkxy there's an android app named wifi analyser and use that to check the crowded wifi channels and set the rf24 channel to the least crowded one.... wish i had an SDR for more hacking and learning

RE: NRF24L01+PA+LNA
@Oitzu Thank for your replies, but i have already read that blog earlier and my other PA+LNA modules connected to the nodes just work fine.
-
RE: NRF24L01+PA+LNA
@Oitzu I tried adding capacitors and the issue still persists, I will try another supply
-
RE: NRF24L01+PA+LNA
@hek i tried even using #define MY_RF24_PA_LEVEL RF24_PA_MIN with the PA+LNA modules but still sending fails but receiving is ok, i think its an issue with NodeMCU and PA+LNA modules rather than power supply issues.
-
RE: NRF24L01+PA+LNA
Same issue here, all data transmitted fails with st=fail , i thought it was a power issue and specific to me, @hek

SSL support for MQTT on ESP8266
@hek @Anticimex First install https://github.com/esp8266/arduino-esp8266fs-plugin and upload the crt file to the ESP8266 file system.
then issue these command from the folder in which MySensors is installed:
sed -i 's/WiFiClient/WiFiClientSecure/g' Arduino/libraries/MySensors/core/MyGatewayTransportEthernet.cppsed -i 's/WiFiClient/WiFiClientSecure/g' Arduino/libraries/MySensors/core/MyGatewayTransportMQTTClient.cpp
change your GatewayESP8266MQTTClient to this:
/** * The MySensors Arduino library handles the wireless radio link and protocol * between your home built sensors/actuators and HA controller of choice. * The sensors forms a self healing radio network with optional repeaters. Each * repeater and gateway builds a routing tables in EEPROM which keeps track of the * network topology allowing messages to be routed to nodes. * * Created by Henrik Ekblad <henrik.ekblad@mysensors.org> * Copyright (C) 2013-2015 Sensnology AB * Full contributor list: https://github.com/mysensors/Arduino/graphs/contributors * * Documentation: http://www.mysensors.org * Support Forum: http://forum.mysensors.org * * This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or * modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License * version 2 as published by the Free Software Foundation. * ******************************* * * REVISION HISTORY * Version 1.0 - Henrik Ekblad * * DESCRIPTION * The ESP8266 MQTT gateway sends radio network (or locally attached sensors) data to your MQTT broker. * The node also listens to MY_MQTT_TOPIC_PREFIX and sends out those messages to the radio network * * LED purposes: * - To use the feature, uncomment WITH_LEDS_BLINKING in MyConfig.h * - RX (green) - blink fast on radio message recieved. RE: MQTT SSL Support
you just have to change WiFiClient client; to WiFiClientSecure client;
-
RE: MQTT SSL Support
Already work in progress, esp8266 2.1.0 library added support for having ca certificates in SPIFFS memory, not enough documentation on using it....

RE: MQTT SSL Support
Thanks for the fast replies. This is the only forum i have seen with the fastest replies. @hek @Anticimex there really exist an mqtt library for esp8266 supporting SSL, any way to change to this: https://github.com/tuanpmt/esp_mqtt
-
RE: MQTT SSL Support
Thanks for the reply but the controller already supports ssl, its the mysensors eso8266mqtt client that doesnt support ssl!!!
-
MQTT SSL Support
@hek @Anticimex is there any way to add SSL support for MQTT client on nodemcu(esp8266). I know that esp8266 supports SSL(from node-mcu custom builds http://nodemcu-build.com/). I am using domoticz as controller and it already has MQTT SSL support. I am planning to run domoticz on my VPS so SSL support for MQTT is required.

RE: [SOLVED] ESP8266 Gateway endless loop

RE: Help with MQTT gateway
Maybe the gateway does not seem to be recognized by the router is that because the MAC address is not a valid one of the static IP you defined in the program does not match your router's subnet

RE: [security] Introducing signing support to MySensors
@Anticimex sorry for the interruption, i was using rsync to get eveything synced and i might have messed something uop, sha204 library was missing from my libraries folder, now everything works, thanks for the prompt and fast support.

RE: [security] Introducing signing support to MySensors
@Anticimex no, I'm using the sketch from the examples.....
am i missing some libraries???? -
RE: [security] Introducing signing support to MySensors
@Anticimex said:
@noelgeorgi AES encryption is already supported for both NRF24 and RFM69 radios. See MyConfig.h on the development branch for the flag to use. Doyxgen documentation I link to in this thread on the topic post also contain the personalization instructions for encryption on the development branch.
Thanks for the info.
I'm getting the following errors when compiling securitypersonalizer:Arduino: 1.6.7 (Linux), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)" /home/technoman/Arduino/libraries/MySensors/examples/SecurityPersonalizer/SecurityPersonalizer.ino:83:28: fatal error: sha204_library.h: No such file or directory #include <sha204_library.h> ^ compilation terminated. exit status 1 Error compiling. @Anticimex @hek is it possible to encrypt the data sent over nrf modules using this https://github.com/DavyLandman/AESLib ???

RE: Password authentication for gateway
@hek thanks for the reply, I will use node-red to convert mqtt messages to json for Domoticz, it does have authentication
-
RE: Password authentication for gateway
@Admin @hek could you please take a look at this http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=101104.0, even though the sketch consumes a lot of program space, an arduino mega is sufficient for the task!!
