@Yveaux not that expensive... some pollution sensor are much more... I would like to achieve the AIQ sensor and some I don't have are very expensive (such as SO2 is $76 NO2 is $38)...

Its been running for an hour, looks like it is not that much dusty here...

    Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 2 - Voltage: 0.01 - Dust Density: -0.10

I'm a bit puzzled for I am far from the reference http://arduinodev.woofex.net/2012/12/01/standalone-sharp-dust-sensor/ but I use the adapter board in the middle... only difference... and I run on a nano, not a uno.

Also I fail to this test: "We suggest getting a baseline in an as clean as possible environment and simulate the maximum by inserting (carefully) a pen filling the whole hole. With the boundaries you can discreetly map the values in between to your preference."

    rfx - Domoticz <- MyDomoAtHome <- Imperihome
    mysensors -> mysensors-gw -> Domoticz

After some search I may not be so wrong indeed...

here before smoke read values were low like those I have now : 49 33 16 ...

Ok this has been corrected, this special sensor needs both analog and digital at the same time, digital to power up the led (which reads the dust !) and analog to get the analog signal.

With a mini, I reach maximum voltage at 2,40V which is consistent with the reference page:

Whilst with a 5V input you will reach your max at around 3.75Vo, you will reach the maximum already at around 2.25 Vo with a 3.3V input.

        Here are readings:

        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 207.00 - Voltage: 0.67 - Dust Density: 0.01
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 215.00 - Voltage: 0.69 - Dust Density: 0.02
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 218.00 - Voltage: 0.70 - Dust Density: 0.02
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 213.00 - Voltage: 0.69 - Dust Density: 0.02
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 187.00 - Voltage: 0.60 - Dust Density: 0.00
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 746.00 - Voltage: 2.40 - Dust Density: 0.31
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 196.00 - Voltage: 0.63 - Dust Density: 0.01
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 203.00 - Voltage: 0.65 - Dust Density: 0.01
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 218.00 - Voltage: 0.70 - Dust Density: 0.02
        Raw Signal Value (0-1023): 210.00 - Voltage: 0.68 - Dust Density: 0.02

        Final words:

We suggest to define some ranges that define your air quality, eg from 0.5V-1V Good, 1V-1.5V Poor etc… but it is up to you to define this scale. We suggest getting a baseline in an as clean as possible environment and simulate the maximum by inserting (carefully) a pen filling the whole hole.

@Yveaux No, it is not that expensive. The one on the MySensor shopping list is indeed $22.99 but on Ebay you can find them for as little as 7..8 Euro.

On Air Quality Monitoring you can find nice experimentation data with it.

@daulagari the one listed here has the interface for it toward arduino (and cables), and I must say that dfrobot provides a real support... I've gone for the complete version and I really needed the support to sort out my problem with it. Now I can give support too ;-)

              Hello,

Here is my update of the dust sensor, using both analogic and digital, powering up the sensor led to monitor the dust (PM10).

@hek can you update the repository (or tell me how to do it) for the previous sketch was not functionnal...

              DustSensor.ino

@hek just in a timely schedule ;-) I need a sound db pressure and a vibration value, where can I make my christmas list while I'm migrating my sketches o 1.4 ?

Created the guide after your question ;)

In 1.4 you'll have to user VAR1-5 for vibration/sound db.

But be sure to add a proposal of the new devices and values in the "standardization thread". Use the same format as I've done in the first post.
