Problems with RPi2 and nrf24l01+ serial gateway

I am new to this approach of using the radio directly without the Arduino in between.
Now I am having problems configuring OpenHab2 with this set-up. When I add the serial gateway it shows as offline.
I am running PiGatewaySerialAs what do i define the serial port in openhab2.
I am sure there is a lot of info that is missing to properly answer this question :)
A link to a decent tutorial would be appreciated too thanksP
