I tested my Orange Pi 2G-iOT. Based on its price(11$), it's a very interesting gateway to try, especially with the 2G support which is very important for my Farming iOT projects.
But it's very unstable and I don't know if it's my mistake or what. Many people blaming the unstable power supply issue.Here're the annoying problems, I got.
- Sometimes, I need to reset power a few times to get to the login prompt.
- Get stuck after keying in the password, which I have to wait for the password timeout and I try again and it normally work.
- May get stuck at any moment during the usage if I install some package...
- Its GPRS data rate is only around 4 to 10kbps, which is much slower than Huawei 2G modem.
