Hi @TheoL. While I understand the underlying reasons for that tax, I feel quite upset about what it means for makers like us who place order on inexpensive parts for which there is no good local alternative. I wish they had made it a percentage fee, not flat fee... For PCBs, unfortunately, I haven't found options as competitive as JLC/PCBWay/... The cheapet I know of is Eurocircuits, but even if you select the longer delay, it's still not competitive. Curious to read about other options.

I'm not sure about Tart, but Grove is an interface for I2C that is used by Seeed studio. With the right connector, it should be easy to make a Grove compatible MySensors node. Adafruit has Stemma and Sparkfun has Qwiic. These are all similar ways to make I2C sensors more plug and play (at least from a hardware perspective).

@Eliza-Collins Thank you for a more knowledgeable explanation! When I wrote: said in Imitating a LoRaWAN(R) with ESP8266/ESP32 and MySensors: with a number of compromises You filled in some of my nebulus's with: @Eliza-Collins said in Imitating a LoRaWAN(R) with ESP8266/ESP32 and MySensors: ADR, security, scalability, and multi-gateway roaming are among the issues that LoRaWAN resolves. Thanks for pointing these out

Thanks @Sasquatch. I did some testing also. The values below seem to be the correct ones. I had similar -100 RSSI at all power settings when using the opposite settings. When I use these, I got reasonable RSSI's that changed approximately linearly with the power setting. I got at least 500m range with an E5-LE in a quick test. That's a 5x improvement and there were many obstacles and buildings in the path. I look forward to trying it somewhere where I have more line of sight. I made an update to my code on github. {STM32WLx::MODE_TX_LP, {HIGH, HIGH}}, // For the E5-LE {STM32WLx::MODE_TX_HP, {LOW, HIGH}}, // For the regular E5

I turned off the affiliate setup on openhardware when CodeGarage took over the cost of hosting MySensors/OpenHardware.io along with turning off all google ads. The "Buy" functionality on openhardware.io involved alot of manual handling and support. It was not worth the effort. You can still make a donation to @sundberg84 when using his designs. I'm sure he appriciate it. [image: 1769085508704-99017911-478a-449e-8ec1-f55ee103f378-image.png]

Thanks ! Hi, this is a great news for MySensors ! I was testing Blue Pill (stm32f1) with stm32 maple core and display library, and now moving to the stm32duino core : everything is ok, and sleep mode seems promising. I have few Black Pill (stm32f4), waiting for test. The hal library is so complete now !

@nagelc wow, you're right! Last time I had bothered looking, it had been multiple years I think since the last commit. Thanks for saying something - I had no clue!

It is the receiver's eeprom that needs to be cleared. In most MySensors networks, the receiver is the gateway. But since MySensors supports node to node communication (for example a button node sending a message to a relay node), any node can be a receiver. So in the example, the eeprom of the relay node would also need to be cleared.

Hey everyone, I’ve been messing around with these sound sensors lately too. The biggest headache I’ve found isn’t the wiring, but actually calibrating the 'sensitivity' screw so it doesn't just trigger on every little background hum. If you're trying to figure out if your sensor is actually picking up the right ambient levels, I found this web tool https://noisemeter.co/ pretty handy. It’s easier than lugging a dedicated SPL meter around just to see if your room's baseline noise matches what the Arduino is reporting. Curious to see if anyone has managed to get a reliable 'glass break' or 'clapper' trigger out of these without a ton of false positives!

I actually write a non MS sketch first - well for the more complicated things - and when that works I add MS code. That way you can be sure that everything works fine before you enable MS on your node.

I concur with @TheoL, though I understand the desire to have better control over your interface. The MySensors serial interface is well documented. You might consider MQTT as a transport mechanism. MQTT Explorer allows you to view the data which makes debugging easier. Good luck with your project.
