Upload fail but port works
-
I have arduino nano with the ch340 chipset. It worked nicely until a day ago - both codebender and arduino IDE now refuse to upload code. the last code that I uploaded works nicely. I tried some things from the net but I am not sure what I am doing so might end up doing more harm. Using win7. please help... I don't even know what debug info to send over. here is how the port looks like in device manager:
Thanks!
Moshe

@Moshe Livne
Have you checked your port settings?
-
In what sense? it does work with an uno (and I choose the right board for the upload) and the port communicates with the nano (I can see the previous sketch running in the monitor). It just seems that the upload drivers stopped working....
-
Sorry,i misunderstood you
-
Thanks for trying to help.... this is really an itch that I can not scratch. Truly annoying
-
@Moshe-Livne , I guess you already did all basic stuff in Windows --- Reboot, tried a different USB port , delete the USB device and re-scan ... ?
-
@Moshe-Livne tried another (same design nano)? I have blown up several usb /ftdi converters.
-
@AWI and @rvendrame , yes i tried everything... as last resort I chatted with codebender support. they were EXTREMELY helpful. apprently it is a bug in the chrome plugin that happens only on small memory devices or something like that. switched to firefox and all is well! (other problems, but at least I can upload my sketches!)

Yes, the codebender team is very responsive and helpful.
Good to hear that you got it working eventually.

@hek I still don't know why the arduino ide refuses to see my port. any ideas? codebender have no problems. I actually like codebender very much but would like to have the options. My PIR temp lux sensor is working!!!! mysensors rule!!!!

No idea. Probably something Win7/Driver related. Guess you're running the latest Arduino IDE?
-
@hek yep - just downloaded it a few weeks ago.... oh well, i can get along with codebender.
