@qqlapraline I don't really understand what you are trying to ask or say but I do know that the mySensors project is a project supported by only a handful of people.
I for myself wanted integration with Indigo Domotica and, because I soon understood that I am the first (and at this point only) person asking for it I started developing a plugin for it.
It is not my first priority (I have to make a living and my partner needs some attention as well) but I will get there.
What you are asking (as far as I understand) is others to step up to the plate for something that you want or think makes sense in some future.
That, as you probably understand by now, will only happen when more people start asking for it and/or someone takes the lead.
When you are not that person I don't think it is correct to 'blame' anybody or get cynical because, just maybe, the time is not on your side.

RE: Aeon Labs Z-Stick?
I use the Z-Stick together with a MySensors serial gateway on a Mac Mini.
The controller software is Indigo.
Works nicely together! -
Etching my own boards
This is a fresh start of a previous discussion I added to another topic pre-forum-crash...
My first 'production' of boards was an experiment and not too unsuccessful but I really did not like the etching part. It was dirty, took too much time and up to now it withheld me from creating another board without taking proper time. The way I did it: 'rocking a tray with etchant'.
Then I saw the BreadBox Kickstarter project. To me this was a kick-ass-solution...
However when I posted this on this forum it was my ass that was kicked.
According to a few here on the forum it is too expensive and too fancy and they showed me some alternatives like a sort of an aquarium tank Either DIY (I like this one but there are many more) or to buy as a kit (like this one).Looking further I found this one but that one was also commented on as 'nice but not necessary'.
That made me think, think, think and think again and browsing a bit brought me to a website that I found before and talks about (and sells) the toner technique. This time I found a page that explains how to etch cheap (very cheap), fast and efficient. It is pcbfx.com and this is the page.
If this is really true, please bring it on, than I just saved a lot of money...So this is what I learned from this discussion:
- Nice looking is not always the best
- Buying cheap is not necessarily bad
What is your take on this?

RE: Need help adding MySensors items to sitemap
@drock1985 You may have guessed it by now but this is not the best place to ask how to use OpenHAB(2).
I have lots of questions still myself so I can't help you but I am sure you can get your answers on the OpenHAB forum or here: http://docs.openhab.org/configuration/sitemaps.html...

RE: Plugin for Indigo for Mac
I am happy, the plugin is not ready but I moved it to my Indigo Server and it is now in production
What am I using it for right now?
The temperature sensor shows the temperature in a computer cabinet.
Based on the temperature a fan is enabled/disabled to lower the temperature. For that I added the board with attached sensors and I created triggers.
Here it is:...

SMD on breadboard
For those of you playing with SMD components I found this website.
They sell all kinds of adapters... -
TIP: Remove instead of cut the track for the power LED and Regulator
When you are like me you sometimes do something without looking/thinking.
So I simply cut the track for the power LED and Regulator as described here. However in my case the track for vcc is connected differently and I ended up with a 'dead' board that needed a repair of the 'out' track coming from the regulator to make it work again.
If I, instead, would have removed the LED and Regulator everything would have worked as expected. So, that is what I did and the board does its thing without any issue now

RE: I have great problem with raspberry and domoticz and mysensors gateway !
I had the same issue with my raspberry pi and OpenHAB.
After a couple of weeks it would crash and ultimately corrupt my sd card.I solved that issue by:
- Reinstall Raspbian;
- Reinstall OpenHAB and pay very careful attention for both the application and Raspbian;
- Reboot the Raspberry Pi each saturday night at 12:00 (but you can use any day/time ;))
#3 is a medicine obviously and not the cure.
I am not even sure it is necessary but it give me confidence...Maybe the same procedure helps your case.

RE: 💬 Sensebender Micro
@tbowmo no case at all, just that I have them and otherwise probably won't use them..

RE: Plugin for Indigo for Mac
Following the release of MySensors 1.4 I made the latest build of the MySensors plugin for Indigo available on GitHub.
I have been using it for a while now with 1.4beta and changed things around to support the 1.4 release (among other things).
When you start using this version of the plugin please be aware of yet limited support of sensors simply because I have not (yet in some cases) built them...
Please use GitHub to let me know about bugs and/or feature requests...
- Added support for 1.4 (1.3 is not supported anymore).
- Added support for batteryLevel
- Added more variable types with 'native' states instead of generic states:
- TEMP
- HUM
- PRESSURE
- RAIN
- RAINRATE
- WIND
- GUST
- UV
- DISTANCE
- TRIPPED
- HEATER_SW
- LIGHT_LEVEL
- Added menu item to remove failed devices
- Added menu item to remove unused device
- Cleaned up and optimized code

RE: I have great problem with raspberry and domoticz and mysensors gateway !
@Reza sai
thank you for answer . i want found problem ! so this is related to 24-hour every day RPI is on?
I don't think that is what I said, I wrote down how I solved it.
Not saying that it will work for you but it could be worth the try. -

And? How did the testing go?
So, testing went well
I found a couple of malformed packets coming in so I will have to investigate that.
Yesterday evening I created my first shield, first double sided board and in fact the first true 'home brew' pcb in my entire life...This is what it looks like (it is a bit of a mess because I messed up my via's the first time...

RE: Plugin for Indigo for Mac
I released a new, more stable, version of the plugin: https://github.com/IT2BE/indigo-mysensors/releases/tag/v1.2.179.
From the release notes:
- Added menu item to reset the plugin (all sensors and devices are removed).
- Improved the way a plugin is added or updated.
- Fixed an issue with on/off state sensor like the motion sensor.

Gateway with LCD
I am creating my final cases for the Gateway and a few Repeaters.
Instead of leds to show what is happening I would like to use an lcd.
I was thinking of 'replacing' the three status leds from the sample sketch with symbols on the lcd. But the minimum would be to show when it is operational and show when there is an error.
I know how to deal with the hardware side of things.
What I need is a couple of pointers/suggestions what I would need to do to intercept status messages and relay them to the display. -

Nicely put
I would say 'please start another thread because this will never be found again and will help other as well'...
Just my 2 cents.

RE: Water flow Sensor
OK, this is the time to admit that this thing did not yet really take off.
The test was ok (sort of) but I wanted to use this project to take my skills to the next level.
What does that mean: I hardly soldered anything, I never designed a PCB, I never created a PCB.
So, the next level for me is: design the thing, create the thing and solder it together.Below are some photo's to show that I really tried but there were some things that I learned today:
- designing a PCB is not easy (Fritzing was my friend today, I am sure Eagle is more powerful but one step too far for me at this time).
- designing a PCB is fun though.
- I created the PCB using a toner printer, a laminator and Sodium Persulfate for etching.
- creating a PCB is fun, absolutely doable but time consuming.
- etching is a no brainer when you have gloves and be careful.
- drilling doable thanks to my Dremel.
- cutting/sawing the boards is tricky. My Dremel did a good job but I have to take better care of this.
Mistakes I made:
- I wanted to be friendly for the environment and the etch fluid. However, this also makes soldering more difficult when margins are too slim.
- When components go to the front side the copper goes to the backside
- You can buy/use 2 watt resistors but they are a (little) bit too large for using in this type of projects.

RE: Gateway with LCD
Echoing (to begin with) is exactly what I was aiming at @BulldogLowell but doesn't that mean that I have to hack into the libs?
Or is there a way to capture the serial output message?
Once I have that I think it won't be too difficult

RE: 💬 MySensors @Eindhoven Maker Fair 2017 2-3 September
A couple of hours after the fair and I am still impressed with the response we got.
We all 'hey googled' the h*ll out of the fair and I just hope people remember 'MySensors' better than the dollhouse and 'hey google, scare me'
Although... The dollhouse was the best example of what can be done with MySensors and it attracted more people to our booth than anywhere else!I loved meeting my fellow team members and it was great fun to meet fellow forum members but even more to educate potential new members (young and old).
And now back to business...

RE: Gateway with LCD
That sounds like a good approach.
My case will be ready in a couple of minutes but I fear that I am going to be asked to be more social around the same time so today the project strands.
Tomorrow, yes tomorrow I am going to give this a go
Thanks @BulldogLowell for looking this up. It gave me the time to install my 2nd FABtotum 3D printer...

RE: API, Documentation and examples
@hek Hi Henrik, that is exactly why I ask.
When I take the RelayActuator for example I see that the setup/initialise stuff is happening in the before method.
Or did I find an exception (I have not checked all sketches)?
