Quantifying IAQ values of BME680
-
Hi,
I have recently started working with the bosch BME680 sensor. I don't quite understand what does the rating of the IAQ value of 50 mean. On visiting the datasheet of BME680, it says 0-50 corresponds to the air quality being 'good'. When we say an IAQ of 50, what is the concentration of the VOC's in terms of mg/m^3 or ug/m^3 or something of that sort? Can somebody please help me out?

As I read the datasheet, the sensor also provides raw measurements of the gas sensor (5.3.4.4). Perhaps you can use that instead of the compensated IAQ values?

I think it's not a good idea. All the interest of the software suite that generates the IAQ is to process nearly meaningless raw values (dependant on temperature, humidity, time the sensor has been running, age of sensor,...) and provide a consistant and understandable value.
