    @alexsh1 Yes the new driver is in dev branch. No api docs yet. It won't be default driver until a major rev. Like i said, you need to update your rfm69 gw and nodes, for using it. Else, new and old nodes won't see each other because msg header is different. You can take a look in myconfig.h for settings, and for functions in MyTransportRFM69.cpp or driver.

Yes I poll every 15 seconds and update only if there is a change, then every 15min i poll and post the results regardless of he result. This keeps the node showing as live in domoticz. I also only use the percentage as the trigger for a level change, this allows for a bit of variation before a change is recorded. You can see in the graph for the last 24hrs that it remains static.     @tailchopper I wonder if you wouldn't be better of on another forum. MySensors provides an infrastructure for home-automation and IoT. If you are not into connecting it to a MySensors ecosystem there are some dedicated PV (power monitoring) forums which probably give you more focussed / better answers. Like Openenergymonitor

    SPI can be blazing fast. A colleague of mine recently implemented some memory interface in the range of two/three digit MBits per second. Intuitively I would say bit banging an 8 bit parallel data input using a microcontroller is slower than using high-speed SPI. Just polling the 8 bits from the pins will take ages...Of course I am assuming you're using a uc and not a FPGA. You need to be precise, just because you can read data faster doesn't mean you can process it faster. I'd be a bit shocked to hear that an accelerometer could produce more data than a standard uc SPI can take...but then, I also have no experience. So I'm also curious what you are planning to do!

    you can make a dash button that when pressed sets a timer on the controller. With sonoff pow you get energy metering and also a relay tu turn on and off your appliance

    Well, sure enough we work on sensors but more related to home automation. Industrial automation requires higher quality stuff and usually the sensor types are different. About other forum start searching "industrial automation forum" there are some coming out, also I bet there are some in your specific country too. Communities are everywhere 😀

    What @Redguy describes is very close to what I wish to accomplish with my HVAC system. If I start out with modbuspoll and a moxa converter as suggested by @Redguy a few questions arise to me: Is this moxa model the right one? http://www.moxa.com/product/uport_1110.htm How do I connect my HVAC and the moxa? Simply connecting GND, TxD and RxD of the HVAC to the corresponding pins of the moxa (see pictures below)? What about 5VDC? Any helpful people here see any problems in what I am trying to do?     @scalz - You're right. There doesn't seem to be an issue with mouser. I must have gotten hooked up with digikey and some of the smaller sellers. I have a contact ticket open with mouser and the manufacturer for one of the models, as they can't tell me what the code means and the datasheet doesn't specify it either. Will post back here with what the order code "988-AT25DF512CSSHNGU-B" means. The minimum order is £33 for me at the moment, I seem to remember this being a little higher last time i checked, so not sure if its a limited time thing (worth a look if anyone wants anything from there). Is anyone in need of these ICs as i would order some for you and post to you if you just cover the cost of the item and then the postage for them (more than likely cheaper than paying for postage from them at £12 per shipment, to the UK anyway).
