Why so many "guests" versus people logged in to Mysensors?
-
For example, right now I am the only person logged into the Mysensors forum, and yet there are 320 guests. On its face, that seems like a pretty high leech factor. Or does it that mean most guests are just passing through and never return enough to bother logging in and participating? Either way, it seems like a waste.

Where do you see this information on logged in users ?
It could just be that the timeout for considering guests "gone" is far longer than the one for counting logged in users.

Well, not seeing myself there (maybe because I checked the box to stay connected all the time), and you're already gone from the list after 4 mn.

Well, there is an "invisible" setting designed to prevent others from seeing whether you're logged in or not. I don't have mine enabled, but maybe it's popular. However, it's disabled by default. Since there's no way of knowing, I'm just taking the numbers at face value in the OP.

Maybe there are some search engines bots crawling around

I use 3 personal laptops, 1 work laptop, 1 computer, 1 tablet and 1 phone to come to MySensor depending on where I am and if I have some time. However I am permanently logged in only on 2 devices. I do occasionally log in from others but not all the time.
