@jan-kocon I actually submitted a fix for the echo/ack that is now in the most recent version of Home Assistant. So, as long as you are on the most current version the default sketches should work now.

You were right, there was a character problem when copy/pasting the command to the terminal. Now I can build MySensor with username and password and it works fine. Thanks for the help!

SOLVED..... Such a mug, such a small error. One character missing in wireless key.

V_VARx not working because HA saves states/data from mysensors to file. When you update sensor data from HA that file doesn't change. I can send data to node by V_TEXT messages using notify service. It works :)

@adamant yes that's correct. The (other) difference is that the stock arduino version writes 0x00 to each location, while the MySensors version writes 0xFF. 0xFF is the value the eeprom has before it is written to the first time when it comes out of the factory.

I was so occupied checking everything related to MySensors that I completely forgot to check the home-assistant part. I didn't specify the MySensors version in configuration.yaml, which defaults to 1.4 which doesn't support V_LEVEL... Oh well, problem solved ^^

I think it's a good idea. My todo list for mysensors is already very long and I have limited time, though, so I don't think I will code this up soon. It shouldn't be very difficult though, so anyone is welcome to have a go and make a pull request. I'll happily review.
