@Gus8 Do you either have a pull-up resistor in place, 4k7 to 10k, or possibly have the internal pull-up resistors enabled for the data line that you have it connected to?

@zboblamont It may be a board that they use for a few different sensors. They make these as boards with the necessary pull-up resistors and things to minimize the need for extra components when breadboarding a circuit for testing or other purposes. You could potentially unsolder the DHT22/AM2302 from the board if it didn't fit your design. You would just then have to remember to include the pull-up in your design.

@NeverDie said in Any users of LiFePO4 batteries ?: @Nca78 No links. Just the usual "burst into flames" safety concerns. I see, then I'm not too worried. Soshine seems to sell a lot of batteries and I didn't see any report of explosions or related things. And when charged and discharged quickly (for capacity testing) they seem to stay much cooler than even my brand name 18650 cells. The guy from Lygte has tested a bunch of batteries and results are good for all the soshine, and it means capacity measurement on my charger is not bad, I measured 600mAh for the LiFePO4 AA and he has 550. Every other battery brand that is available on AliExpress and he tested has completely bullshit claims about capacity. What's worrying is they also lie about having protections, and some brands like TrustFire rewrap some old batteries from powerpacks and hide marks/rust/... with new tops and bottoms, this is mainly the case for 18650. Old rusty batteries without protection, and all different despite behind inside the same wraps :o Page for small batteries : http://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/CommonSmallIndividualTest UK.html

@gohan said in Wemos XI: So is this board really not good for battery powered sensors? IMHO not at the moment and I don't think it will change soon as doc from wemos or the chip manufacturer are still very poor. I fail to see the interest of the this board compared to a pro mini clone, except saving 0.5$. There's no obvious way to make it really low power and you have a different pinout so you can't use any of the existing PCBs.

@mfalkvidd I can have it output in either 12V or 24V - my choice. I have various SRD-12VDC-SL-C octocoupler relays, but I have no idea how to set it up as a sensor instead of an actuator. :( @gohan see my reply to mfalkvidd I had a look at the Power Meter Pulse Sensor but I am clueless on how to transfer it to my components. Thanks again for taking the time to help.

You can use only 2 interrupts on pin 2 and 3, calling 4 sleep functions is useless

well yes, that will do the same, but i think that using for example MCP1640C (you can check the example project here https://www.openhardware.io/view/279/Adjustable-Boost-Converter-with-Pass-Through) will result in simpler schematic :)

@mfalkvidd Thank you. I was more concerned about VIN 5V I think in my IOT only few rfm69hcw would draw 130mA and maybe nrf24l01+ pa lna, but it has a different power feed

@mfalkvidd > Seems like leds are only able to convert about 10% though. 10% !! What a bummer. For being so efficient, can you imaging how low power the next step in lighting will be? Time to invent the next version of LED.:sun_with_face:

I'm using these as a reset button on some wireless solar nodes: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10Pcs-SMT-3-6-2-5-MM-Tactile-Tact-Push-Button-Micro-Switch-Momentary-2-Pins/32648604590.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.gOyHck They have a nice solid feel to them.

@sineverba - Nope, gerber is the format for the manufacturer. You have to open .sch for the schematics and .brd for the pcb layout. I recommend youtube as a great source for Eagles tutorials!

@scalz said in 8Bit or 32Bit processors: Arrow.com is nice too as it's 20€ minimum order for getting free express shipping ;) Just received my first order today, delivered only 4 opening days after order in Vietnam, and ... no taxes not even VAT :D In total i ordered 12 SAMD of 3 kinds, a few atsha and some 0603 ferrite beads my local sellers don't have. I was a bit surprised to see a 505010cm box. But then when I opened the box I understood. This is the packaging for 4 ATSAMD20: carton box containing a giant antistatic bag containing 2 plates made for 260 MCUs each and only 4 in the middle. Missing on the picture is the bubble wrap that was around the antistatic bag. Packaging for other parts was not that delirious but still excessive imho, I guess they're not trying to be awarded a green label :D In the end a very positive experience: reasonable prices, not cutting corners on packaging, great express shipping (now I'm sure I'll never use DHL again...). I just need to buy another apartment for storage before I make a new order :D [image: 1498129668429-imag1773-resized.jpeg]
