@mfalkvidd yes, I'm using node 2 and mysensor 1 gateway. Unfortunately I don't get on work 2.0 gateway..... :( :( :( Next week I will restart with a fresh Raspbian, maybe I will solve my initial issues... Thank you very much!

it seems strange but I solved with recompiling MySensors Gateway with the following configuration options ./configure --my-rf24-cs-pin=24 --my-rf24-ce-pin=15 --my-gateway=ethernet by magic, everything begins to work (for the first time).

@JWB That setting is turning the gateway into a "client" which needs to connect to a server (which is your controller). Without this set it is running as a "server" which accepts incoming connections from other devices on the network (like your controller)

If you want to check only communication you can use myscontroller, but using a proper controller will give you a more complete test.

@melwinek signing is memory optimized on the development branch. It cost some yes, but that is pretty much just how it is. It takes some ram to store digests and intermediate data for the calculations.

Thanks for the note, @Nca78 . It seems like my systems defaults to an ID of 255, though. I swapped out another Pro Mini and another radio (debugged the Arduino side using the RF24 library), and now I'm seeing more traffic between the Arduino and the RPi, though it seems to fall over at receiving an ID. Note that I ran the ClearEpromConfig example immediately before pushing the MotionSensor example (no changes, did not define MY_NODE_ID). @scalz thanks, well, nothing is irrelevant, when not working there must be at least one of your points above which I'm not considering enough :) Now it is still working well, checking in every minute without a single duplicated message in the controller even if far away from the gw and the remote relay triggering when requested. I should probably do a better job in replicating the issue to at least limit the possible causes...I'll report back in the future with better data I hope :) Thanks!

@Anticimex on a few nodes I cannot enable signing as even with debug disable, it still does not fit within 32kb memory. I have dualoptiboot, which means memory is 1.5kb less that using optiboot. Optiboot is not good for OTA. This is the situation either ... or This is why I'm increasing often looking at Moteino Mega or ARM M0. The other thing is that I can avoid using libraries and re-write the code impreling functions which I only use in the code. This is a very tedious process and the code has to be changed from node to node as some parts of a library is missing. Life is just not perfect :-(
