The note before the example sketch states that you should use the "modified" library from MySensors examples. But as of today, with MySensors 2.3.2 and Arduino 1.8.15 I used the standard DallasTemperature library (provided by the Arduino's Libraries manger) with no problems at all. Using the "standard" Arduino libraries is a grate advantage, so I the custom library is no more used, it could be useful to update the guidelines in the page. Stefano

@badisensors try ethernet gateway instead of serial. You won't need to pass anything to docker and it works just fine.

@keithellis Lovely idea. I've followed suit and knocked up one but with the sensor facing the other way, so that it faces the meter, and the preset pot is and LEDs are facing away from the meter. That way the sensor side of the case can be stuck to the face of the meter, and the pot adjusted without removing it from the meter. The flashing light on DO flashes in sync with the LED on the meter. Theres a little ring that holds the sensor flush with the face of the case so it can lie flat on the front of the meter. Also, its a good idea to use black / dark coloured PLA so as to block out the any stray light that may illuminate the sensor (such as when the meter man comes to read it and shines a bright torch to see the dials).

Hi all, thanks for sharing the models for 3D printing. I built one 3 years ago and it is still running with one pair of AA batteries, MySensors and Arduino Pro Mini. Last year I needed some adjustments and adaptations for friends so I got inspired and remodeled the rain gauge for 3Dprinter. Maybe it could be usefull for someone so I decided to share it here (https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/130513-rain-gauge)

@Michiel-van-der-Wulp There was a discussion early this year 2021 on this issue, see: Contribution Issue with CLA and clahub.com But unfortunately there is no feedback for a solution from the core team for now. :-(

@lood29 That is correct, assuming the same radio technology is used. Typically, you set up a separate gateway because you want to run a sensor network on a different radio family due to longer distances or similar.

I was wondering about the lengths for the antennas mentioned on this page. For 868Mhz is mentioned a length of 82.2 mm on this page. The length most often mentioned over the internet - as first result of the 1/4 wave calculation - is 86,5mm. Searching a little deeper through the internet, i found that the antenna should be "a little shorter". Then they end up with around -1cm shorter or something around or more. One page mentioned the physically effect that the wave is moving in chopper around 5% slower as the theoratical speed. If i substract 5% of 86,5mm i end up with the here mentioned 82,2mm. I was very suprised about the different "approaches" for such a basic thing as antenna length every single . As most of the application over the internet seem to work somehow with all that different lengths, it seems to be just a fine-tuning thing. Anyway, i think it would be nice to mention this details here because most people will wonder about the 82,2mm in the first view... best regards Jens

I also found the logparser did not handle certain log entries, such as the logfile produced by the mysensors gateway on raspberry pi, e.g. prefixed with timestamps, etc. Opened pull request to improve this, comments welcome, especially if you are able to test this locally (only need to copy the Logparser directory and open logparser.html locally in a browser): https://github.com/mysensors/MySensors/pull/1468

My next issue is the humidity seems to be off. It has read as high as 115% humidity. Is this normal or should I be considering a correction? If so, how would I enter a correction. Its a little odd considering it states that the accuracy is much tighter than that.

Hi Thank you for your reply and I understand that, if you look at the code you will see that pin 3 isn't named/defined in the coed. Unless I am missing something Thanks

Thank you for great project. I built it, it works fine except occasionally it starts flashing red when was left along for couple of hours without any objects moving in front of the sensor. It happens at least couple times per day. Sensor replacement did not fix it. The only way to get out of it is to restart Arduino. Any idea what is going on? Found fix for this problem at https://forum.mysensors.org/topic/1734/parking-sensor/57 by Dan.S. Please update the library.

And of course you should know that the comunication is via "serial protocol", which is defined here: https://www.mysensors.org/download/serial_api_20 @Guillermo-Schimmel said in 💬 Selecting a Controller: @3nibble https://pypi.org/project/pymysensors/ is a nice starting point.

Does this need a resistor between the Arduino digital pin and the Gate of the MOSFET? To limit current draw?

Good afternoon. Please tell me how to add the firmware for the node to the system. So that I could then shoot it through the air.
