Other times it is just enough to downgrade avr boards leaving IDE to newest version.

I bought the adapters for nrf24 on gearbest, they have ams1117 regulator and capacitor. Very easy to use.

o.k., quick update... contrary to what I reported yesterday, it now looks like my gateway is getting sensor readings from the node in question at irregular intervals. strangely enough, when I connect my Mac and launch the serial monitor, the sensor printout still stops after just the few lines above. Has anybody ever experienced something like this before? Still need to do the hardware swapping to see if this is related to a malfunction of any of the components.

@Misna Added the 2 100Ohms resistors and it seems it is working. Maybe I could order some more shields and complain again they are faulty and have them refunded and do this quick repair :D At least it would be a little revenge on the many hours I lost with this faulty shield

@maxdorable do you see any message received from the gateway? Keep in mind that NRF24 use quite some peak power during transmission so not all boards can supply enough power and a capacitor is needed on the VCC and GND near the radio. Quite some people got it sorted out (me included=ì) by using one of those adapters with voltage regulator from 5v to 3.3V + capacitor (if not included already in the adapter)

Just checked the solution: 9 hours of calm ghostless sleep. :) At lat I've got solid setup for PIR sensor. It was a headache for me last 6 months, when I tried it with ESP8266

My BME280 is around 1F hotter outside than a DS18B20 outside in another project. Not a big deal but I am also researching how to keep it cool. The library I am using is this one.

Try older boards definitions like 1.6.11 or .13
