The ESP gateway will send any incoming (radio messages) or locally sent messages on to the socket you have opened from the controller. The ESP gateway doesn't differ from the Ethernet variant in any way (from the controllers point of view).

@hek Ahhh! Got it. Thank you. But can I use the original Gateway sketch with attached radio from the Master branch? My Serial gateway with a radio died this morning, which is why I started down this path. I figure if I have to start my Gateway from scratch I might as well try connecting my relays directly. Or do I have to re-install that library?

A step up in price from the RTL-SDR you'd find the RF-explorer; price from $270. Hardware with display. Free (and also payed) software to get a better picture of the situation. sub-1GHz and 2.4 GHz in the same device. Not affiliated with the company, but I have used one and was pleasantly surprised

I added what I call a "self-powered" USB hub on my VeraLite. This 4-port hub is powered off the Vera's 12VDC power plug so there are no extra power bricks or cords to deal with. Video below: https://youtu.be/K_hlMJ0q1Ok This in itself saves a few watts of power that would have been used by the separate wall wart for the hub (about 20KWH/year savings!). Ultimate goal for my Vera is to place it on my solar battery bank running off 12VDC power.

Yes on the serial port, except the actual port number. This was filled in as 3481 by Vera. Apparently, that is not correct, based on the error message. (115200, 8, N, 1) Yes on U17, I think. I downloaded the zip file for U17 and extracted that, then uploaded.

Already it resolved, in the end it was my mistake . had the power connected to the distributor of the lipho battery which has voltage variations (3,4 - 3,9V) When I connected the VCC and GND to the power outputs of the Arduino mini pro , it works perfectly . Thank you very much for the help. By the way, that way I can stabilize the energy that comes from the battery to the dealer to be constant? With a capacitor?

@Kosika said: Got the same problem. Got everything working but after unplugging the cable to the gateway I can't get it working again. In devices it just says "Lua Startup Failure" on the my sensors plugin. Had this problem also when just installing the plugin but after some tries I could enter the serial port details, but now I just can't get it working hi i use a wifi gateway and that is true and dont have same problem

@BartE , I'm trying to set up an analog anemometer in my veralite system using the RGBW controller from fibaro. The problem I have is: which plugging should be used to let RGBW controller read the input from the anemometer and display the wind speed value in Km/h? I'm not a programmer and all my configurations applied to my veralite was using internet. I have spent lot of weeks looking for a solution but until this moment no progress achieved. Any support from your side will be very very appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Now half way on moving z-wave devices, so far so good. Only issue I have has with the VeraPlus is that it seems like the server at home(dot)getvera(dot)com is a bit overloaded so the connection is lost from time to time.

Hello, I'm having issues connecting to the Nano as well, I do have the FTDI branded chip but I'm still not able to communicate.. At the top of the Dashboard it just says "device not responding" and on my Devices page it says "can't detect device". I do have the My Sensors Plugin loaded and it appears on the Devices page.. The serial port is configured correctly... Is there any hints out there that may help me get this going?? Any help would be much appreciated.... Thanks!!
