@rvendrame I have this issue with my Arduino Pro 5v's, (which I bought from the link in the MySensors store page). The only fix I have found is to manually define to node for those sensors. Annoying, but it works.

@NotYetRated I started with autHomation and still have it but I been using ImperiHome 90% of the time now. Until recently I couldn't use it full time due to not having multiswitch support. But now I'm I can almost say I don't need autHomation.

Could you perhaps try to introduce a few delays and see if that fixes the problem? Would be good if the sketch works without debug enabled.

Thanks for that info, it seems to only confirms that the meter is working right and that my problem is in the sktech. LOL I really need help finding out why the example sketch with the "1000 blinks per kWh" set doesn't work anywhere close to where it should be. I'm using the example sketch and my meter has 1.0kH tag on the front. @hek said: http://efundies.com/electricity/how_to_read_power_meter.htm @integlikewhoa said: i'm so lost on this. I can read the screen on the meter. I got my meter holding down to around 1.31kW according to the meter read out. I set the timer for a minute and counted the flashes on the LM393 LED. It flashed around 26 times in that min. So 60 min in an hour that's 1,560 flashes per around 1.31kWh.. Next I kicked on the AC and let the Kw reading on the meter level out around 3.10kW and then I set the timer and counted 54 pulses per min. x 60 for 3,240 per hour. Everything looks per proportional and right along with what I found on the internet for this meter. 1,000 blinks per kWh. Using the factory settings should put me right there is what I keep thinking. But that gets me showing 300,000 watts using your above formula and pulses still at 1000 it still gets me in the 300,000 range. If i change my pluse per KWh to 100,000 then it gets me into the right area at 3000 watts when my ac is on which is in the ball park but if I turn the AC off and kW drop to 1.3 ish The serial is still showing 3,000 range in watts it wont drop to the 1,000 so watts it should be.

I'm using an Uno with Ethernet shield with no problems (after overcoming some initial startup problems).

What kind of a light sensor are you using? Maybe it is just not sensitive enough to detect the LED light. If you use one of them LM393 type you could try to use the "DO" and hock it up to a binary input instead. Then you should be able to adjust the sensitivity with the photometer.

Lol, I didn't even think about that way. I did think it a bit strange to post it here, and not on the Verde forum, but not enough to give it a second thought.. :-)

You should of course put the sticker as far away from the phones NFC reader as possible.

I just ended up going to my local Fry's store and spending 35.00 for that "OSEPP Nano". Plugged it in and serial showed right up no problem. So I can confirm the cheap EBAY (some not all) don't work out of the box like a more expensive one. Atleast foe the controller. I'm sure I'll use the other 4.00 one for a sensor.

Yay, it's working! Thanks for the info about the zip file! I'm using a china clone as gateway but it seems to be working. I'm getting info from my mini pro with an attached dth22 at least. =)

@hek Yes I know about setVariableIfChanged preventing to set unchanged Vera variables but I log all setVariable calls (unless childId or serviceId is null) and have not seen this with serial GW so I thought Ethernet GW was sending duplicate messages.

@cheesepower For vera-specific questions you should considering checking out the micasaverde forum first, you may find your answer there! Also, I would recommend PLEG plugin if you have any advanced logic you'd like to program (PLEG is better than the default Vera interface IMO, but I still wish there was a more intuitive interface that would allow you to program your vera like you do the arduino)

@samppa - Interesting. I've actually found the 1.4 protocol to be more reliable. (I'm using high-frequency pulse detection for water flow and also valve control) I'm having the sensors send my gateway several times per minute and it never fails. I've found that powering the Arduino/Radio combination with USB (PC, hub, etc) to not be ideal and always opted for a "wall wart" or my own supply and 5V external regulator. I've always used caps on the 3.3V Radio Supply so I don't have much to compare it with. I'm contemplating going to an ethernet gateway so I can power it with an external source as well. (it's currently being powered by a USB hub connected to Vera) Just personal experience - it sounds like you've had good luck in the past. Cheers!
