@anjo This is just what I'm trying to do - without success. I'm nut sure it it's a HW or a SW problem, but I have being using MySensors before. Did you do anything special on the Edge?. I'm out of idears - I have the same Ethernet board, a NANO and the radio - have double checked wiring and enabled softspi in the lib. What was your main problems? /Kurt

@hek said: Does the repeater send any sensor data itself? The dashboard "last update" only reflect data coming from the repeater. No, all it is is a repeater. The only node that could send its signal through it is my doorbell which won't send anything until the doorbell is pressed, so I guess that all makes sense. I only have one sensor that is communicating all the time, which is my garage door switch which also sends temp values. The funny thing is that it is this switch that is the most reliable and ALWAYS works the instant I ask it to. the relay switches that I have turning operating some lights, that is the only thing I have them doing and there are times that I am having to repeatedly press there button on the dashboard to finally get the relay to work.

Thanks I was running UI5 for a while but thought I would take a stab at UI7 again. I'm now back to UI5.

@BulldogLowell Actually it started to work after update to 5.37 version of PLEG where Richard made some bugfix for numeric conditions. Now the exported condition is shown correctly as a variable in the advanced tab. So case resolved. :-D

@olaeke : Thanks! So in total four devices meaning, the Node itself and a device for every (Child)-Sensor. Makes sense. Just wondering what other Controllers are doing here. I think at least some completely ignore the child node numbering and either put all values without context or all values under the Node.

@Dean said: @CaptainZap said: I've tried flashing the gateway with IDE and I get a compilation error on line: MyGateway gw(DEFAULT_CE_PIN, DEFAULT_CS_PIN, INCLUSION_MODE_TIME, INCLUSION_MODE_PIN, 6, 5, 4); saying that 'MyGateway' does not name a type. Any ideeas ? Thanks. LE: Figured it out... my bad, compiling now. LLE: Still doesn't work :| LLLE: Tried using these chinese nano ripoffs but they are not detected at all by Vera. These CH340G chips suck so bad... My only way of getting this to work is with my Uno. Will appreciate any help anyone can provide. I have the same problem, can you share what you did to resolve the issue? Bought an FTDI arduino nano...

@hek said: Don't know if there is a "one-and.only" solution for the tinkering people hanging here. Vera acts as the single point (of failure) in our home. But things like our alarm system is autonomous system and only reports stuff to vera. Same for sound system (sonos). And MySenors of course. I like to have a HA solution that not completely falls apart if one component fails.. But that might just me me? That said Vera is not optimal... slow, sometimes long intermittent delays when the unit decides to do garbage collecting (or whatever it does during those 1-5 second hickups). Everything cooks down to what you want to integrate in your HA setup and what plugins/functionality you need on the controller. Agreed. I don't think there is a "one ring to rule them all" solution. I find Vera as a base controller, supplemented by MySensors to be adequate for my needs. I am not keen on the idea of MySensors, home built stuff, controlling my line level lights etc. If ever a fire were to occur, even if that sensor were not the cause, I am sure my insurance company would try use it against me. Not worth the potential risk IMO, but that is another story.
