@alexsh1 https://github.com/arduino/ArduinoCore-avr/issues/158 and https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=60040 suggests it is a bug in gcc. It seems to have been resolved a long time ago though.

@mfalkvidd said in MySensors USB GW: @alexsh1 if there is only one tty, linux has only found one of your usb gateways. Unless linux finds the gateways, there will be no way for Domoticz to talk to them. As basic communication seems not to be an issue (beside the version information that per default only is included in presentation()), especially when rebooting the mc, imo this isn't a problem on the Pi side. It's just the mc booting much faster than the controller... As there's no USB-Serial converter in the setup @alexsh1 uses, the mc will not be reset when communication is (re-) startet from controller side - imo that's all. Some explanation, might be of interest for future discussions on that: I had comparable "problems" using a Pro Micro as a GW; this mc also will not be reset when USB communication is reconnected. Most likely also other mc's providing direct USB communication (e.g. STM32F1xx) will show similar behaviour.

@zboblamont I think the safety point is highly debatable these days. I can see why the isolators were installed in the 60s, but with modern bathroom fans, this is an obsolete. As I pointed out, it is not required to be installed by the Building Regulations (at least in the UK). Anyway, back to the topic, I'll have to check but I am sure the relay has to be placed behind the isolator socket box. The isolator itself will be buried behind a shelving unit

@alexsh1 if you haven't already, remove the Arduino bootloader. Iirc, it adds about 2 seconds. Set static parent (MY_PARENT_NODE_ID, MY_PARENT_NODE_IS_STATIC) and maybe MY_PASSIVE_NODE.

I wonder if this spells death for PCBA, since those parts gets sourced from chinese distributors. Seems as though reliable chinese distributors must exist, or the entire system there would break down. I just have no idea who they are.

@tochinet I am just looking for something really small like some atmega328p boards, but more memory. Like this - http://mklec.com/project-kits/kd-circuits/328-board-ATMEGA328P-microcontroller-board or https://www.openhardware.io/view/76/Stamp-size-MySensor-node with (1) signing (2) encryption plus a few libs one can quickly run out of memory.

@Anticimex on a few nodes I cannot enable signing as even with debug disable, it still does not fit within 32kb memory. I have dualoptiboot, which means memory is 1.5kb less that using optiboot. Optiboot is not good for OTA. This is the situation either ... or This is why I'm increasing often looking at Moteino Mega or ARM M0. The other thing is that I can avoid using libraries and re-write the code impreling functions which I only use in the code. This is a very tedious process and the code has to be changed from node to node as some parts of a library is missing. Life is just not perfect

This ino is working for me, it has the sleep function to save batteries. The Adafruit en the github/mysensors-> https://github.com/schizobovine/VEML6075 lib gives far to high index with my sensor. Only uv a and uv b declaration is not correct. Uv expect a index 0 till 11, domoticz controller passes a lower figure when it receives a number above 11.

@alexsh1 Yes the new driver is in dev branch. No api docs yet. It won't be default driver until a major rev. Like i said, you need to update your rfm69 gw and nodes, for using it. Else, new and old nodes won't see each other because msg header is different. You can take a look in myconfig.h for settings, and for functions in MyTransportRFM69.cpp or driver.

Hi I have exactly the same problem but now using the latest IDE environment and MySensors build. Did you manage to find out what was causing the issue? In my set-up seems like the ethernet module is not communication with the rest of the hardware. Fixed. The IDE was using the incorrect Ethernet library after a clean install of the Arduino IDE.

@Yveaux said: they tend to short-circuit internally and pass on their input voltage to their outputs directly, frying the circuit you're trying to power :rage4: Luckily, this is not what happened to me. AMS1117 has not failed completely. Only with PA version (higher current) I experienced issues.

@tekka GW - Mega 2560 + Ethernet running MySensors 2.0 stable I did try a few nodes - Nano and a few others based on atmega328p, all of them have the same problem. All nodes were running the same MySensors 2.0 stable I have a 250kBit/s transfer speed on both. The node log is above in the original post. Will try to post the GW log, but have a feeling that it must be a GW nrf24l01+ issue

I now have an Udoo x86 as well and I like it. Before I start testing myself, did you manage to get the MySensors Gateway to work?

@scalz I manage to narrow it down only to "drivers/ATSHA204" compile issues, which is signing.

@frencho said: @chrille working, the antenna was the problem. I ordered some small antenna on ebay, and it s fine now ^^ Glad to hear it's working now. After creating a "real" PCB for my RFM69 gateway the issue went away - and it works reliable both with an external antenna and a small rubber antenna.

      A Former User

Hello, I would be interested in having this information as well. Plus, can we observe a performance difference by doing this? Many thanks.

@hek This is pity. This means that I am going to loose a lot of historical information unless I want to manually copy and paste values in the DB. At least it makes an order - one id per node.

Ok, I discovered that the correct variable is #define MY_DEFAULT_ERR_LED_PIN x but MyConfig.h is still using #define MY_DEFAULT_ERR_LED x. This is Development version as of 04/06/2016

In this case I do not understand. Perhaps, @hek is right. I have updated a few nodes to v2, but the GW was still v1.5.2 The problem is that I do want signing and with all debug options, I just cannot get 36Kb compiled on my Arduino Uno (GW).

Is it always for 2 hours ? We had it at one Installation, Ethernet Gateway sending to FHEM But between the FHEM Server and the Gateway was a Powerline unit FHEM log showed some Problems reaching the network, i think caused by noise in the power line all attached other Network Units showed Errors for a few seconds, but the mysensors Gateway then always wasn´t reachable for about 2 hours I don´t know this is because of a fault in mysensors or the fhem Software part for it

@Sparkman You are right. The pin names on the sensebender, corresponds to the pin names on the arduinos, so the interrupt on D3 is the same as on the arduino.

Because it is running MS v1.4 (current is v1.5 and development is v1.6) If you wonder why it says USB, it emulates USB. @Eawo said: Just wondering why does it say its running "MySensors Gateway USB Version: 1.4"
